Rhino 3d Change Drawing Plane
CPlane
The CPlane command sets the origin and orientation of the structure plane in the active viewport.
Steps
Option a new origin point or choose an option.
Command-line options
All
The construction planes in all viewports modify then their origin is at the picked location.
Bend
The Curve pick sets the construction plane perpendicular to a bend.
Curve steps
| 1. | Select a curve to orient construction plane. |
| ii. | Drag the structure plane's new x and y axes to a new location. |
Note
| ● | Use the Bend option to apace position your construction plane at diverse stations along a fundamental track curve as training for doing a i runway sweep, for case. Once your construction plane is positioned, you can use drawing tools to depict a cross-section curve in the 3 D location where it needs to be. This directly cartoon method can be quicker and more convenient than cartoon the curve on a world airplane and then trying to motion and rotate it into place in 3-D. |
| ● | The direction of the bend affects the management of the axes. If the structure airplane does not go the direction you want, flip the direction of the bend with the Flip or Dir commands. |
Peak
The Summit option changes the height (z-direction) of the structure airplane.
Elevation steps
Pick a new elevation.
Or, type a distance to move the origin from its previous location.
Note
| ● | Positive numbers move the construction aeroplane upward along the positive z-axis. |
| ● | Negative numbers move the construction airplane down. |
Object
The Object option sets the construction plane in the active viewport to an object.
Object steps
Select a curve or surface.
The origin and tangency of the new construction plane is based on the "midpoint" of the untrimmed version of the surface.
Rotate
The Rotate pick rotates the construction plane.
Rotate steps
| 1. | Pick the offset of the rotation centrality. |
| 2. | Pick the end of the rotation axis. |
| 3. | Blazon the angle to rotate the construction airplane. Or, choice two points to specify the angle. |
Surface
The Surface choice sets the construction plane to match a surface. The placement is constrained so that the construction plane is tangent to the surface.
Surface steps
| 1. | Select a surface. |
| 2. | Pick an origin or press Enter. |
| iii. | Pick an ten-axis management or press Enter. |
Surface options
Flip
The Flip choice reverses the management.
IgnoreTrims
The IgnoreTrims selection uses unabridged untrimmed underlying surface.
Through
The Through choice moves the construction plane origin to a selected point.
Through steps
Choice a location to motility the origin to.
Through option
All
The All option resets all construction planes to the new origin.
View
The View selection sets the construction plane in the agile viewport parallel to the view.
View steps
Click View or type V.
World
The World option restores the specified default construction plane.
Earth options
Back
Bottom
Front
Left
Correct
Summit
3Point
The 3Point pick sets the construction plane in the active viewport past specifying points to found the 10-, y-, and z-directions.
3Point steps
| 1. | Pick a new origin, or press Enter. |
| 2. | Pick the 10-centrality. |
| 3. | Pick the y-centrality. |
3Point options
Vertical
The Vertical pick sets the construction airplane perpendicular to the electric current construction airplane.
ZAxis
The ZAxis option sets the construction plane z-axis direction.
Undo
The Undo option restores the previously used construction airplane in the current viewport.
Undo steps
Click Disengage or type U.
Shortcut
Shift + Home
Redo
The Redo selection restores the construction plane that was active before the Undo option was used.
Redo steps
Click Redo or type D.
Shortcut
Shift + Terminate
CopyCPlaneToAll
The CopyCPlaneToAll command changes all viewports to take the same construction planes as the specified viewport.
CopyCPlaneSettingsToAll
The CopyCPlaneSettingsToAll control changes all viewports to have the same filigree settings and snap spacing equally the specified viewport.
Encounter also
