Over the adjacent month or then we were in and out of the intensive care unit like a yo-yo. Theo was put back on life back up for sepsis and shock." His status dramatically deteriorated and by late January he was arresting multiple times each day and had to be nursed by upwards to three members of staff to keep him alive.
"The team couldn't sedate him as he was becoming too tolerant to the drugs. He was crashing every hour, nosotros were told to prepare for the worst. Afterward more than iii months on life back up we didn't think he had another day left to fight. The conclusion was fabricated by the cardiac team to take Theo back to theatre to widen the ventricle. Finally, Theo was eventually discharged from hospital to recover."
Recently Theo has turned 4 and mum Fauve has told u.s.a. how the family is even so very closely continued to the hospital. "We have LOTS of appointments at Alder Hey considering of how poorly Theo has been. He withal needs support to stay well. He is known to cardiology, respiratory, neurology, orthotics, nephrology and his dentist at Alder Hey so nosotros are regularly travelling to Liverpool and back again. Having to travel can be very stressful to manage around working full fourth dimension merely it's made so much easier knowing we receive such good care at Alder Hey. Anybody is amazing with Theo and we could not ask for more. He is made to feel included and part of every consultation he has, and the quality of care he receives is outstanding every time.
